SAN DIEGO - A power outage in Terminal 1 at Lindbergh Field caused delays for Southwest Airlines passengers Saturday evening.
Airport officials say the outage was caused by a high voltage transformer that blew on the roof.
TSA officials had to manually screen passengers. Baggage claim was run manually and portable air stairs were used to get passengers on and off airplanes.
The power outage caused 15 flights to be delayed.
Airport officials expect power to be restored by 11 p.m. Saturday evening.
They advise anyone flying Southwest Airlines on Sunday to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
