Candidates for San Diego mayor address veterans

SAN DIEGO - San Diego mayoral candidates were busy Saturday morning campaigning, trying to get the support of local veterans.

Candidates David Alvarez, Kevin Faulconer, Nathan Fletcher and Mike Aguirre addressed the crowd at the United Veterans Council meeting. They tailored their speeches to what they wanted to do for veterans, service members and their families.

Some veterans tell 10News they are still torn on who is the best candidate.

"They're all sincere men, and I don't think they wake up in the morning thinking how they can make things worse," said veteran Ron Stark. "All of the candidates brought something that really resonated with me."

The candidates will be back at the Veterans Museum in Balboa Park for another forum that begins at 7 p.m.
