Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Domestic Violence, Assault With Deadly Weapon

A woman was in custody Friday on suspicion of stabbing her fiance in his left calf during an argument in San Diego's East Village neighborhood, police said.

The stabbing in the 600 block of Market Street was reported shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego police Sgt. Todd Sluss.

The man, who is in his 40s, was expected to be OK, the sergeant said in a statement.

The 30-something-year-old woman fled on foot but was found nearby a short time later and arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon, Sluss said.

Her name was not immediately released.
