SAN DIEGO - Two men and a woman roughed up a cabbie and stole his cab early Sunday, San Diego police said.

The trio, who were all in their 30s, hailed the cab at Fifth Avenue and F Street in the Gaslamp Quarter about 2:50 a.m. and told the driver to take them to 3200 Madrid Street in Point Loma, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The suspects then physically assaulted the driver and drove off in his taxi, which was found abandoned near Third Avenue and Date Street, Delimitros said.

Police described the suspects as two black men and one black woman.
