Police track down robbers using stolen cell phones: 2 women robbed in downtown

SAN DIEGO - Two suspected robbers are under arrest Friday after police tracked down signals from cell phones they allegedly stole.
A report of a robbery came in just before 1 a.m. in the 200 block of Broadway in downtown San Diego.
Police said two men approached two women at gunpoint and took a purse, wallet and cell phones. The men fled on foot.
Officers began monitoring the cell signal from the women's phones and were able to track the suspects at 6th Avenue and E Street.
Police said they found the items that were taken from the women, along with other property that may have been stolen from other people.
Police said they were looking into whether these men are involved in other robberies.
