SAN DIEGO - Police on Saturday are searching for a man suspected of robbing a Kearny Mesa-area bank.
The robbery occurred about 10:45 a.m., San Diego Police officer Frank Cali said.
"A man entered the Wells Fargo at 9360 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., walked up and handed the teller a demand note and the teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money," Cali said.
Cali said the man fled and was last seen driving a dark sedan, possibly a Honda or a Toyota with Baja California or out-of-state license plates.
"He was northbound on Ruffin Road," Cali said.
Cali said no one was injured in the robbery.
The robbery suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 40s who was about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Cali said he was wearing a red USC Trojans hat, a brown hooded sweatshirt and a black polo shirt.
"He had a Chargers lanyard around his neck, and was wearing black pants and black dress shoes," Cali said.
The police robbery unit was investigating.
