SAN DIEGO - Authorities on Sunday are searching for a masked man who robbed a clerk at knifepoint inside a Valero gas station in the Emerald Hills area, a San Diego police sergeant said.
The man was armed with a kitchen knife as he walked into the Valero station at 1025 Euclid Ave. about 6:50 p.m. Saturday, SDPD Sgt. David Jennings said.
He robbed the clerk of an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in a white Ford pickup truck with a camper shell, Jennings said.
The suspect was described as a black man in his 40s with a medium build, Jennings said. He wore a red bandana over his face, a red hat and red and black striped shirt.
SDPD's Robbery Division was investigating the incident, he said.
