SAN DIEGO - Authorities asked the public Sunday for help in finding a thief who forced his way into a home in the Rolando area of San Diego early Sunday and took a small amount of cash, marijuana and a computer.

The man showed up at the victim’s house in the 5800 block of University Avenue about 12:20 a.m.

He knocked on the front door of the home and punched the victim in the face when he opened it. After forcing his way into the residence, the man took the items, which included a MacBook Pro, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.

The man fled on foot toward a back alley. He was described as a 5-foot, 5-inch tall man weighing 280 pounds with tattoos on his face, said Stafford.
