Police seek father and son suspected in La Mesa stabbing

Fight, stabbing reported 9 p.m. Tuesday

LA MESA, Calif. - La Mesa police searched Wednesday for a father and son who are linked to a stabbing that sent two people to the hospital.

Police said they responded to reports of a fight 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 4200 block of Schoolridge Lane.

Officers said a 42-year-old and his 16-year-old son got into an argument with a man over a stolen television and the confrontation escalated.

Police said the older man beat and stabbed one man. A woman was also stabbed in the arm. The injured man and woman were both taken to area hospitals.

Police are continuing to search for the father and son who fled the scene.
