SAN DIEGO - A man wearing gloves and sunglasses with oval-shaped lenses robbed a Sabre Springs bank Friday.

The thief, who appeared to be in his late 30s, handed a demand note to a teller at the Wells Fargo branch office in the 12000 block of Scripps Summit Drive about 10:15 a.m., according to the FBI.

After the clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of money, the bandit walked out of the bank and fled the area in a gray four-door car -- possibly a Ford Focus -- driven by an accomplice.

The robber was described as a roughly 6-foot, 190-pound man with dark hair and light-colored beard and mustache, wearing gray pants, a white hooded sweat shirt, dark jacket and knit cap, as well as dark glasses and gloves.

No one was injured in the incident.
