SAN DIEGO - Police are investigating two reports of hit-and-run crashes that occurred early Wednesday.

The first crash was reported around midnight when a vehicle hit a motorcyclist in the Midway District. The crash occurred on the Camino Del Rio West onramp to eastbound I-8.

According to initial reports, the driver slammed into the motorcyclist after making an illegal U-turn. Witnesses told police the driver was in a dark-colored vehicle.

The second incident was reported at around 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 805 near University Avenue. California Highway Patrol officers blocked off a part of the freeway after they found a man on one of the slow lanes. The victim was rushed to a hospital.
