SAN DIEGO - An investigation was under way Tuesday in Skyline, where a 20-year-old man was shot in the groin area during a drive-by shooting at a public park named for the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
The shooting at Martin Luther King Park at 6200 Skyline Drive was reported at 7:30 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
The victim was fired upon several times by someone in a silver sedan but was struck by only one bullet, Delimitros said, adding that the groin wound was not life-threatening.
The shooter got away.
