Police search for man who robbed Carlsbad jewelry store at gunpoint

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Police were on the hunt Monday for man who took jewelry at gunpoint from a Carlsbad store.
The armed robbery at Ultra Diamonds at 5600 Paseo del Norte occurred just before 6 p.m. Sunday, according to Carlsbad police Sgt. Pete Pascual.
The gunman was black, in his 40s, with a muscular build, the sergeant said in a statement. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, black leather jacket and jeans.
