SAN DIEGO - Police are searching Friday for a robber who held up two men at gunpoint in Pacific Beach.

The robbery was reported at around 1:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of Bond Street.

Police said two men were walking home along the sidewalk, when a man wearing a black hoodie and black pants approached them.

The suspect then brandished a handgun and demanded valuables before taking off. The two victims told police that they gave the robber their cell phones and wallets. The two went back to their home and reported the incident to the police.

Police responded to the area where the robbery took place, but could not find the suspect. They said the 10-minute delay between the time when the incident occurred and when it was reported may have helped the robber get away.

The suspect was described as a black male, wearing all back clothing, about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds.
