LA JOLLA, Calif. - Authorities said a high school student was stabbed at a house party in La Jolla overnight.

The San Diego Police Department said at about 1:05 a.m. Saturday, a small group of males and females showed up uninvited to a party filled with about 30 to 35 high school students. The people hosting the party told the crashers to leave and a fight ensued.

Officers said one of the party goers was stabbed twice in the back during the fight.

The victim later showed up at Scripps La Jolla Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.

Police said the attacker was described as an Asian man, from 17 to 20 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build.

Witnesses said the man was last seen wearing a gray hat.

Anyone with information was urged to call San Diego police at 619-531-2000.
