Police respond to shooting on Ocean View Boulevard

SAN DIEGO - A shooting in Logan Heights Friday left one man dead, according to police.

Multiple gunshots were heard by several 911 callers about 12:20 p.m. in the 2100 block of Ocean View Boulevard between Evans and Sampson streets, according to a San Diego Police Department police dispatcher.

Police said officers were on the lookout for a man in a white polo shirt.

The unidentified victim, reportedly a man in his 20s, died at a hospital shortly after 1 p.m.

SDPD Officer Mark Herring said the Homicide Unit was investigating.
