SAN DIEGO - Police continued to investigate Thursday a shooting that hospitalized three men in Paradise Hills.

The shooting occurred at about 7:49 p.m. in the 2300 block of Reo Drive, near a VFW post. Police said the three men were sitting outside when two men came up and shot them.

"I told them there was somebody shot across the street and he's bleeding pretty bad, and you need to get an ambulance the police here quick," said one witness who called the police after the shooting.

Two were taken to UCSD hospital in critical condition. The third was shot in the arm and was taken to a local hospital to be treated. His condition was unknown.

A motive for the shooting was not released. Police believe two men responsible for the shooting left in a Honda headed north on Reo Drive.
