SAN DIEGO - San Diego police have released surveillance video of a robbery earlier this week at a Hillcrest yogurt shop.
Investigators said the robbery occurred Tuesday at around 9:30 p.m., at Golden Spoon Yogurt located at 1200 University Ave.
According to police, a man walked into the shop, went behind the counter and then confronted employees in the back area of the business.
Officers said the man threatened the employees with a knife and demanded money. He was then given cash from a safe and was last seen walking westbound on University Avenue.
Police described the culprit as a white man in his 30s with a thin build, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, with short light brown or dark blonde hair.
He was last seen wearing a green turtleneck shirt which he pulled up to cover the lower portion of his face, and a dark blue jacket and jeans.
Investigators said the man threatened the employees with a small knife, similar to a box cutter.
Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit at 619-531-2299, or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
