SAN DIEGO -

Authorities asked for the public's help Thursday in identifying a man who has been spotted peeping into windows of homes in an Ocean Beach neighborhood at least seven times since May 22.

The series of crimes began with the man looking at a woman getting out of her shower at her Saratoga Avenue home through a bedroom window, according to San Diego police.

Over the next four months, residents of the same street reported similar incidents, most recently this week, SDPD Sgt. Paul Salas said. In three cases, the perpetrator apparently cut window screens, possibly to get a clearer view.

Each of the crimes occurred between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., Salas said.

Victims described the man as in his early to late 20s, weighing 165 to 200 pounds, with brownish-blond hair and facial stubble.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
