Police Saturday sought a man who was wearing a mask when he used a knife to rob a Wendy's restaurant in San Diego's North Park neighborhood.

The robbery was reported at 10 p.m. Friday at 2585 El Cajon Blvd., according to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims.

The suspect walked into the restaurant and headed directly to a bathroom where he emerged wearing a mask on his face, Heims said.

He walked to an employee while holding a knife and demanded money. He fled the restaurant with an unknown amount of cash, Heims said.

No one was injured.

The suspect was described to police as clean-shaven, 30 to 40 years old, 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

He was described as wearing an orange flannel shirt, a blue long-sleeve hoodie, jeans, and a red and black mask that covered his mouth.
