SAN DIEGO - A 39-year-old man who police say stabbed his sister and father during a Father's Day weekend argument in their home has been arrested.
Police say Arthur Freeman II has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The victims are being treated and were expected to survive.
The attack was reported at 9:57 a.m. in the 6500 block of Eider Street, just west of Klauber Avenue and south of state Route 94, said San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.
"During an argument, a man punched his sister in the eye and grabbed an 8-inch steak knife, and stabbed her in the abdomen and the right side of her chest," Cali said. "Then he stabbed his father, 71, in the abdomen."
Cali said both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
