Police: Man stabs girlfriend in Lincoln Park

SAN DIEGO - A man is under arrest on allegations he stabbed his girlfriend during an argument in the Lincoln Park neighborhood Saturday evening.

The incident occurred before 5 p.m. in the 240 block of Euclid Ave. San Diego police report that responding officers learned that the 59-year-old man punched his 34-year-old girlfriend and then stabbed her in the arm. The victim was taken to a local hospital. She is expected to survive.

The man was booked into the San Diego Jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. His name was not disclosed.

The San Diego police Domestic Violence Unit is investigating.
