SAN DIEGO - A 47-year-old man beaten and stabbed at an East Village bus station on New Year's Day was refusing to cooperate with investigators Wednesday morning, police said.
The man was beaten and stabbed by an unknown number of individuals in the 1300 block of National Avenue just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.
"The victim is not cooperating with police so there are no details or any suspect description at this time," Stafford said in a statement released early Wednesday.
The victim was taken to a local trauma center to be treated for several broken ribs and stab wounds to his head, neck and back, Stafford said, adding that none of the injuries are life-threatening.
