Police investigating threat made against Escondido school

Escondido, Calif. - Two schools in Escondido will be closed on Friday after a threat of violence was made against Heritage Digital Academy.

The school received word of the threat from the Escondido Police Department around 8 p.m. Thursday.

As a precaution, Heritage K-8 Charter School and Heritage Digital Academy will be closed on Friday.

Classes are expected to resume on Tuesday, January 21.
