Nine-year-old Luis Rincon and his mom were in the laundromat across the street when they heard the shots.

"We heard, like more than eight bullets, and he was down on the floor with blood all over, and his brother, he took his shirt off and he was, like, saying bad words to the police. He was angry because the ambulance didn't come fast enough," said Luis.

The 25-year-old man was found laying in the middle of the street when police arrived. He died a short time later at the hospital.

Luis and his mom told 10News they know the victim. They said he lives in the neighborhood with his family.

"Sad, kind of scared too," said Luis.

Police said the neighborhood is a known gang area, and the shooting may have been gang-related. Although that has not been confirmed. They have not released the victim's name.
