EL CAJON, Calif. - El Cajon police on Sunday are investigating a shooting that left one person wounded.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of East Madison and North Magnolia avenues at about 2:40 p.m.

One person who was shot was transported to a local hospital to be treated. The person's condition was unknown.

Police are searching for the shooting suspect, who was described as a black man who was wearing green pants and a gray sweatshirt.
