EL CAJON, Calif. - An investigation was under way Wednesday in El Cajon, where a 22-year-old man was shot in the leg following an argument in the street.

The shooting in the 1300 block of Oakdale Avenue was reported at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to El Cajon police Lt. Mike Moulton. The victim was taken to a hospital but his wound was not life-threatening, he said in a statement.

It was not immediately clear what prompted the shooting or who the shooter might be, the lieutenant said.
