CHULA VISTA, Calif. - A man was shot in the face in Chula Vista, and police arrested someone in connection with the shooting.

The shooting at a home at Auburn Avenue and East H Street was reported about 4 p.m. Friday via a 911 call from the house, Chula Vista police said. The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to a hospital and expected to live.

Shawn Miller, 40, was arrested and booked on suspicion of homicide, according to Lt. Don Redmond, who said the pistol believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered.

It was not immediately clear what motivated the shooting.
