SAN DIEGO - San Diego police on Tuesday are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Emerald Hills.

Police said a van crashed into a fence at about 8:50 p.m. in the 5500 block of Roswell Street. No injuries were reported. Neighbor Debra Dorn told 10News this is the third time a similar incident has happened.

"My reaction was… not again, because this is not the first time this has happened," said Dorn.

She added, "They took my fence. They took my lemon tree. That's all she wrote."

After the crash, the van's passenger ran off. Neighbor Waymond Bradshaw was able to hold the driver against the fence until police arrived.

"He tried to get away, but he didn't," said Dorn. "We had our big, buff bodyguard over here next door who pinned him to the fence."

The driver, who was suspected of DUI, was then taken into custody by officers.

Police are searching for the passenger of the van, who fled the scene.
