OTAY MESA, Calif. - An investigation is under way Friday into the fatal shooting of a man found in an upstairs apartment in the Otay Mesa West area of San Diego.
Police were called to the 3100 block of Caminito Quixote at 4:20 p.m. Thursday and found the unresponsive victim lying on the kitchen floor with at least one gunshot wound.
Police began CPR and then paramedics arrived, but the man was pronounced dead.
The shooting occurred when several other people were in the apartment. The victim's brother heard the shooting from another room, discovered his brother had been shot and called 911.
The victim's name was not released.
