LA PRESA - A naked man was found beaten in La Presa early Monday but was expected to be OK, authorities said.

A passerby found the man behind a church near Osage Drive and Dorchester Street around 1:20 a.m., according to San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Scott Amos.

There was no one else around, Amos said, noting investigators were working on developing a suspect description.

Medics took the man to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The motive for the attack was under investigation.
