Police, ICE Bust South Bay Drug Ring

It started with a tip about a potential cocaine runner and turned into an eight-month investigation involving federal and local agencies.

Rolex watches, big screen televisions, thousands of dollars in cash, drugs and luxury cars -- these are the items recovered as the result of a major drug trafficking bust in Chula Vista Thursday.

Chula Vista police and National City police joined Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in the arrest of ten men in the bust.

Police and agents from ICE said the group trafficked cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamines, and operated a stolen vehicle ring.

Most of the men involved live in the U.S., but not all are citizens.

Authorities said some of the people have been deported in the past.

Agents said more arrests could follow as the investigation continues.
