Police, FBI ask for help in finding Escondidio bank robber

ESCONDIDO - Authorities Wednesday asked for the public's help identifying a man who robbed an Escondido bank in broad daylight.

The robbery at the U.S. Bank branch office at 125 N. Broadway occurred about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the FBI and Escondido police.

The robber entered the bank and demanded money from a teller, who complied, authorities said, noting the bandit fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of money.

No weapon was seen and no one was injured.

Authorities said the robber was Hispanic, 5 feet 7, with a medium build and black hair.
