SAN DIEGO - More than a dozen people were arrested Thursday following a narcotics investigation and a drug bust at a home in City Heights.
Police served a warrant at a home in the 3300 block of Cherokee Avenue Wednesday night.
Investigators found a large amount of methamphetamine and a total of six people were arrested at the property.
During the raid, SWAT officers also discovered a suspicious device initially thought to be a pipe bomb, according to Lt. Ken Hubbs with San Diego Police Department.
The device turned out to be equipment used to draw out THC from marijuana and was not dangerous, Hubbs said.
Police also arrested 10 people prior to the raid as part of a narcotics investigation. Those arrests led investigators to the City Heights home.
All of the suspects arrested were in possession of illegal drugs including methamphetamine, Hubbs said.
