SAN DIEGO - San Diego police said they are investigating an early-morning downtown crash that damaged two parked cars and left the driver's Toyota Corolla upside down in the middle of a street.
The San Diego Police Department said the wreck occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of Market Street.
According to officers, two women were driving eastbound on Market when their vehicle struck the two cars and rolled their Toyota, landing on its roof.
Both managed to crawl out with minor injuries.
The driver was taken to an area hospital, while the passenger was treated at the scene.
10News crews said the passenger became belligerent while being treated by paramedics and was arrested by officers on charges of public drunkenness.
Police said alcohol appears to have played a role in the crash and that the driver is expected to be booked on charges of driving under the influence after she is treated at the hospital.
