Pizza Hut online delivery order leads to robbery at knife-point in Grantville

SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--A pizza delivery driver was robbed at knife-point in Grantville Sunday night, according to the San Diego Police Department. 

When the Pizza Hut employee tried to deliver an online order at 10400 Friars Road around 10:49 p.m., he was faced with a suspect who demanded the victim get in the elevator.

The delivery driver felt he was about to be robbed so he instead asked the suspect to step out of the elevator.

The suspect stepped out of the elevator, pulled a knife on the delivery driver and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect took the pizza and money and got back on the elevator.

The delivery driver was unharmed. 

San Diego Police detectives were investigating the robbery.
