SAN DIEGO - A pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being struck by a San Diego police patrol car in the Emerald Hills neighborhood.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Market Street just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers were responding to a call of a person down or body in the roadway. While they were looking for the person, a patrol car hit a pedestrian in the street. It is unclear if the person who was hit was the same person who was reportedly in the roadway.
The pedestrian was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The officer had a ride-along in the patrol car. No other injuries were reported.
The northbound lanes of Euclid Avenue have been closed while police investigate.
