Woman injured, dog dead in Normal Heights hit-and-run

SAN DIEGO - A vehicle struck a woman and killed a dog Thursday morning before driving away, according to authorities.

The hit-and-run at 33rd Street and Adams Avenue occurred around 7:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.

Paramedics took the woman to a hospital to treat what appeared to be minor injuries, police said.

Police were looking for a silver or gray box-style Scion with Arizona plates and front end damage.
