Park View All-Stars Visit White House, Meet Obama

Chula Vista's world champion Park View Little League team toured the White House Friday and met with President Barack Obama.

At the White House, the players shook the president's hand and posed for photos.

"It was pretty cool," outfielder Bradley Roberto told 10News' media partner The San Diego Union-Tribune. "We met the leader of our country."

The team left San Diego for Washington, D.C., on Thursday. Southwest Airlines helped sponsor the team's trip.

According to 10News, the players gave the president a team plaque and a key to the city of Chula Vista.

The team, which became known as the "Blue Bombers," defeated a team from Taiwan this summer in South Williamsport, Penn. to become the Little League Baseball World Series champions.
