A fire at a four-unit apartment building in the Paradise Hills neighborhood displaced seven adults and three children, and caused about $300,000 in damage, fire officials said Saturday.

The non-injury blaze at 6870 Parkside Ave. was reported shortly before 11 a.m. and firefighters had it knocked down in about 25 minutes, a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said. The fire damaged all four units, he said.

The American Red Cross was dispatched to assist the displaced residents, according to the SDFRD.

The fire caused about $200,000 in damage to the property and another $100,000 in damage to its contents, a dispatcher said. The fire's cause remained under investigation, authorities said.
