LA JOLLA, Calif. - Authorities said they were called to Black's Beach in La Jolla Monday after a panga boat washed up ashore with several suspected illegal immigrants aboard.
Lifeguards in the area reported the incident at about 7:30 a.m.
10News has learned that the boat's passengers have been placed in custody and that agents with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection are searching the area for more people.
