Pair captured on surveillance video burglarizing Great Clips in Pacific Beach

SAN DIEGO - Hairstylists at a Great Clips in Pacific Beach are up in arms after two thieves broke into the store on Sunday and ripped them off.
The burglary occurred after closing at about 7:30 p.m. The pair – a man and woman – smashed the glass to get in and then made off with some expensive items.
10News obtained surveillance video of the burglary from the store's manager.
The man had a large build and was sporting a goatee, a black hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans and a backwards hat. His female accomplice had long strawberry blonde hair and was wearing sandals, blue pants and a white top.
At one point, she walked around the room, removing items from various hairstyling stations.
Then, she was caught again on camera walking towards the front door with a couple of plastic boxes filled with what 10News was told were expensive scissors and other paraphernalia, a hairstylist's worst nightmare.
At one point, the man scoops out $200 in petty cash from the register.
The store manager who provided 10News with the surveillance video was not permitted to interviewed on camera but did say she thinks it was an inside job, due to the simple fact the two thieves went right for the safe that most would not know is kept underneath the front desk. Whether the thieves got anything out of the safe is not known.
Parts of the burglary, though, were bizarre. Seconds before they left, the man walks to the back of the store, picks up white a trash can and then discards the bag on the floor before walking out.
A similar burglary also recently occurred at another local Great Clips location.
Police are now working any and all possible leads in an effort to catch the thieves and bring them to justice.
