Pacific Beach hit-run ends in arrest

SAN DIEGO - A man suspected of ramming his SUV into several parked cars in Pacific Beach and then fleeing the scene was caught early Monday morning.

According to San Diego police, at about 2 a.m. a driver crashed a Chevrolet into two parked cars in the 3400 block of Ingraham Street. At about 3 a.m., police responded to a 911 call about a possible drunk driver in the 1600 block of South Shores Road in Mission Bay with significant frond end damage.

Officers responded and arrested the driver, linking him to the Pacific Beach incident. There were no reports of any serious injuries.

The name of the driver and the charges he might face were not confirmed.
