CHULA VISTA, CAlif. - Firefighters are looking into what started a blaze Monday that destroyed a car and part of a town home in Chula Vista.

Chula Vista firefighters were called out to the home on Trouville Lane around 4am.

When they arrived, a car parked inside a single-car garage was fully engulfed.

The people who live inside the home already evacuated.

Firefighters said a female resident was taken to the hospital after she broke her leg or ankle.

Firefighters said they don't know how she was injured.

The fire was quickly put out before spreading to nearby and attached homes.

Smoke damage could be seen around the exterior of the home.

Firefighters are continuing to investigate what caused the blaze.
