EL CAJON, Calif. - Officers are searching for the driver of a pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run crash in Bostonia, just north of El Cajon.

The incident occurred just before 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of First Street at Sumner Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers say a pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck and the driver did not stop.  

The victim was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital. The extent of the victim's injuries and condition were unknown.

The pickup truck was described as a 1970s or 1980s Chevrolet truck that was white or gray. It was last seen going south on First Street toward Broadway.
