OCEANSIDE, Calif. - Fire caused an estimated $15,000 damage to a commercial building in Oceanside Wednesday night but no one was hurt, authorities said.

The blaze on 4000 block of Oceanside Boulevard was reported at 11:34 p.m. Wednesday and brought under control just after midnight, according to Oceanside fire Battalion Chief Bill Kogerman.

The building contains multiple spaces occupied by different tenants but the fire was confined to one unit, he said in a statement.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, though it appeared oily rags may have been a factor, Kogerman said.
