President Barack Obama and Texas Gov. Rick Perry will bring their campaigns to San Diego this month for brief visits.

Obama is scheduled to attend a lunch fundraiser for his re-election campaign Sept. 26 at the La Jolla home of Elizabeth and Mason Phelps, part of a West Coast swing that also includes stops in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Denver.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that general admission to the event will be $5,000, while having a photo taken with the president will cost an additional $10,000 donation per couple, and becoming a VIP co-chair will run $35,800 per couple.

Meanwhile, Perry will meet fellow Republicans next Wednesday around 8 p.m. at Landmark Aviation near Lindbergh Field, following a debate with GOP rivals at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. He is expected to attend another event the next morning at the Hyatt Aventine in La Jolla.
