North County Transit District, roughed-up woman settle claim

SAN DIEGO - The North County Transit District will pay $10,000 in a settlement with a woman who was shoved to the ground by a Coaster train conductor last year following a struggle with another passenger.
U-T San Diego reports the agency has apologized to Colinesha Sutton, calling the incident unfortunate.
The assistant conductor no longer works for the NCTD.
The newspaper says surveillance video released Wednesday shows a passenger initially forced Sutton off the train and threw her to the ground at the Carlsbad Poinsettia station.
The conductor then separated Sutton from the other passenger and struggled with her before throwing her down on the concrete platform.
Sutton said she suffered abdominal, shoulder and finger injuries.
The incident was triggered by a fare dispute.
