SAN DIEGO - NFL.com's Ian Rapoport is reporting that former Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith will interview with the San Diego Chargers Friday.

According to NFL.com, Smith was seen at Chicago's O'Hare Airport headed to a flight for San Diego.

The Chargers announced Wednesday that Tom Telesco would be the team's new general manager. No announcements have been made regarding a head coach, but one of Telesco's first duty is to make the hire.

According to reports, Bruce Arians, the Colts offensive coordinator who filled in while head coach Chuck Pagano was treated for cancer in the fall, is another candidate for the coaching job.

Former Chargers Head Coach Norv Turner was let go Dec. 31, following a 7-9 season for the Chargers that was marked by a significant drop in attendance.
