Here's what is going on in San Diego from January 4 to January 5
January is restaurant month in Escondido. You can get craft brewery food pairings, local farm to table meals and international flavors. Twenty-four restaurants across the city are participating.
Today La Costa Canyon High Cchool students are coming together to try to help a recent graduate by collecting donations and spreading the word about the dangers of Meningitis. Aaron Loy is one of four students who contracted Bacterial Meningitis while at UC Santa Barbara. Doctors had to amputate both of his feet. His former teammates will play at the 2014 Adrenaline Challenge in Del Mar Saturday and Sunday to raise money for Loy's recovery.
A Dr. Seuss classic is coming to the Casa Del Prado Theatre in Balboa Park. San Diego's Junior Theatre is performing The Cat in the Hat. Saturday's show starts at 2:00pm.
Twenty artists from around the county are creating works for 24 hours straight, and they are expected to wrap up around 2:00 Sunday afternoon. The event benefits ArtHatch's teen program. The public is invited to watch the artists as they work at the center in Escondido.
Sunday is the last day you can catch the Auto Show at the Convention Center. The new 2014 models are on display. Most automakers have cars you can test drive. There's also a Jeep obstacle course. The show is open Sunday until 7:00pm.
You can get a sampling of everything South Park has to offer during a three-hour walking food tour. During the tour, you will stop by five different restaurants. It starts at 3:15pm. Tickets start at $55.
